(SAMPLE) Seeking an art therapist for clinical trial study on dementia and toddler interaction

We are looking for a qualified and experienced art therapist to join our innovative clinical trial study, which explores the effects of supervised time spent between dementia patients and toddlers. This trial is part of a broader research project focused on improving the well-being of dementia patients through creative, intergenerational engagement.

Collaborator profile

The ideal candidate will have a background in art therapy, with a focus on geriatric care or dementia-related therapy. You should be passionate about using art as a therapeutic tool to foster communication, emotional expression, and cognitive engagement among participants. Previous experience working in clinical settings, particularly with older adults, is highly desirable.

Collaborator involvement

We are specifically looking for an art therapist who can lead weekly group art sessions with dementia patients, with a primary goal of encouraging interaction between the elderly participants and toddlers. These sessions will be supervised and structured, allowing for flexibility in creative expression but guided by therapeutic principles aimed at enhancing mood, cognitive function, and overall well-being in dementia patients.

Expected timeframe

Project is set to start in November 2024 until December 2025.

Additional information

By participating in this study, you will be part of pioneering research that aims to uncover new methods of supporting dementia patients through intergenerational art therapy.
